Jafra has updated its child protection policy to ensure that it holistically covers child protection concerns and the do no harm approach in its interventions. The policy was shared with Jafra program and administration teams to ensure that all are well informed of what the policy entails. Jafra program staff also attended several trainings by humanitarian partners on child protection and gender-based violence.

B. How are these challenges impacting achievement of this transformation?
Jafra addresses child protection through providing awareness sessions and psycho-social support activities, it also looks out for potential abuse or exploitation cases in order to conduct a proper referral and aid children towards the necessary support required. Not all the time do parents and families partake in these activities.

Jafra Foundation has been successful in building community resilience through its various projects within Palestinian refugee camps, especially its vocational training program which has provided youth with various life skills and technical capacities, allowing them to enter the informal labor market, given their restrictions to work, and make a profit that sustains themselves and their families.

Jafra has been able to improve the economic well being of vulnerable persons in order to build resilience, however more funding is required to reach out to a greater number of affected persons.

Jafra has conducted an extensive capacity building plan that covers Jafra's short-term and long-term strategy. The plan highlights Jafra 's strengths and weaknesses through an assessment grid that is very detailed. This plan will help Jafra to become more efficient and effective towards its partners, donors and beneficiaries. It covers operational as well as programmatic aspects, from planning to implementation, and data management systems.
