Gender-based violence prevention and response
Jafra Foundation for Relief and Youth Development is committed to expanding their scope to include GBV prevention and response into their programming. Jafra applied for a spot at a UNICEF (and their inter-agency Gender Based Violence (GBV) Guidelines Implementation Support Team) workshop to build our capacities on implementing GBV risk mitigation into our every day work. The training will take place in March 2018. The identified person who attends this training on behalf of Jafra will in turn train the staff upon their completion of the workshop.

People-centered approaches (feedback mechanisms, community engagement, etc)
Jafra Foundation for Relief and Youth Development involves community stakeholders throughout each project cycle. Jafra maintains constant communication with the municipality, beneficiaries, community stakeholders, and local authorities to ensure each project is transparent and running smoothly. Feedback mechanisms are also incorporated into each project, offering a platform for refinement of the ongoing program. Activities include:
- Hold interviews with community stakeholders, including beneficiaries
- Hold focus groups with community stakeholders, including beneficiaries
- Design programs which benefit the end-user
- Feedback "box", with appointed staff who will take feedback and are always on hand and clearly identified to the stakeholders
- Focus on people-centered approaches are included in our policies and procedures
Adherence to quality and accountability standards (e.g. CHS, SPHERE)
Jafra Foundation for Relief and Youth Development commits to adopt the CHS and IATI standards to improve the quality and effectiveness of the assistance they provide.
Cash-based programming
Jafra Foundation for Relief and Youth Development has committed to supporting the diverse needs of populations affected by humanitarian crises in fragile and complex emergencies. One way Jafra supports the beneficiaries' diverse needs is through cash based programming (unconditional cash transfers - UCT, cash for work - CFW) and livelihood development. In 2017, Jafra expanded it's cash based programming through out Syria leading to the financial empowerment of many beneficiaries.

- Continue to seek funding opportunities for livelihoods programming involving cash transfer programming
