1. A. Highlight concrete actions taken between 1 January – 31 December 2018 to implement the commitments which contribute to achieving this transformation. Be as specific as possible and include any relevant data/figures as well as any good practices and examples of innovation.
The Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) supported several projects to enable adolescents and young people, providing training and financial support to local and international partners. HOT directly supported the GAL School in Peru with a Microgrant to train students in mapping their local environment. Additionally, HOT directly contributed funds and provided logistical support for YouthMappers and other young people to attend skill building training and share their experiences through sponsorship to the Free and Open Source International Conference in Dar es Salaam, Tanzania. HOT also joined with YouthMappers to begin the Women Connect Challenge to enable training and support into 2019.

2. A. Please select no more than 3 key challenges faced in implementing the commitments related to this transformation. Only the categories selected by the organisation will be seen below.
- Gender and/or vulnerable group inclusion
- Human resources/capacity
- Strengthening national/local systems
B. How are these challenges impacting achievement of this transformation?
It remains difficult to ensure equitable distribution of resources and inclusion in terms of gender and vulnerable groups. Governmental and societal constraints limit young women and girls from equal participation in school and outside activities.
3. What steps or actions are needed to make collective progress to achieve this transformation?
It remains of the utmost importance to support local schools, universities and non-school groups to empower and enable young people. Connection to institutions and the wider environment begins at the local level and through local leaders and change-makers. Organizations must prioritize participation from local organizations and bring resources directly to these groups to ensure participation and buy-in for future work.

Joined-up humanitarian-development analysis and planning towards collective outcomes
The Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team (HOT) continues to work throughout the humanitarian-development nexus to improve outcomes. Using free, easy-to-use and adaptable tools enables communities to map assets and vulnerabilities in the places they live (at the micro/neighborhood level). Humanitarian OpenStreetMap Team continues to make the resulting data freely and openly available for governments, NGOs, community-based organizations, the private sector and community members in open platforms (e.g. OpenStreetMap). This data can then be used in response to various development challenges and humanitarian needs. Further HOT provides training to all of these groups and facilitates information-sharing across groups and organizations to ensure it's both accessible and usable. HOT continued developing shared assessment and profiling tools, promoting joint analysis, and adapting coordination mechanisms.

2. A. Please select no more than 3 key challenges faced in implementing the commitments related to this transformation. Only the categories selected by the organisation will be seen below.
- Funding modalities (earmarking, priorities, yearly agreements, risk aversion measures)
- Gender and/or vulnerable group inclusion
- Strengthening national/local systems
B. How are these challenges impacting achievement of this transformation?
Local governments, and specifically the various agencies remain largely siloed from each other, limiting the ability to analyse and plan towards collective outcomes. HOT promotes data- sharing and common practices for these agencies to facilitate the process, but it remains difficult to engage the various entities towards common purposes.
3. What steps or actions are needed to make collective progress to achieve this transformation?
Organizations that work through the humanitarian-development nexus need to work themselves towards the common aims and to demonstrate the benefits of such endeavors. Without the organizations promoting and demonstrating these behaviours, it will remain impossible for others to see the benefit.
