Participants were invited to make individual or joint commitments to help achieve the Agenda for Humanity. In addition, they were invited to align themselves to 32 core commitments developed for the 7 High-level Leaders’ Roundtables of the World Humanitarian Summit. Each stakeholders commitments are organized by commitment type in the table below.

El Salvador pledges to continue the humanitarian initiative for a world free of nuclear weapons. It further pledges to raise awareness about this important issue, both at the national and at the international level. The aim of this initiative is to fill the legal gap with regard to nuclear weapons in light of their catastrophic and unacceptable humanitarian consequences and the great risk which these weapons are posing for the entire planet.

El Salvador commits to continue to promote ratification of and accession to the Anti-Personnel Mine Ban Convention by States. El Salvador further pledges to uphold its commitment to meet the humanitarian goal of the Convention - a world free from the use and stockpiling of anti-personnel mines - and to put an end to the suffering caused by antipersonnel mines through their complete eradication.

El Salvador se compromete a promover la incorporación de las comunidades de salvadoreños en el exterior, en la prevención y respuesta temprana ante desastres. Incrementar los esfuerzos que venimos realizando ante los países receptores de diáspora y las agencias privadas, para reducir los costos de los envíos de las remesas familiares; que por cierto son una reconocida fuente de financiamiento familiar hacia las comunidades en situaciones de emergencia humanitaria.

El Salvador se compromete a aumentar las acciones, además del marco de ONU, para lograr la reclasificación de los criterios de elegibilidad de la Asociación de Desarrollo Internacional, del Banco Internacional para la Reconstrucción y el Desarrollo y otros miembros del Grupo del Banco Mundial, para mejorar la elegibilidad de los llamados "Países de Renta Media" al acceso en términos favorables, a fondos y financiamiento; ello en seguimiento a recomendación del Panel de Alto Nivel sobre Financiamiento Humanitario.
