In addition, they were invited to align themselves to 32 core commitments developed for the 7 High-level Leaders’ Roundtables of the World Humanitarian Summit. Address the vulnerabilities of migrants and provide more regular and lawful opportunities for migration

  • Kiwanis International, District Italy - San Marino intend to enlarge cooperation with local authorities to help unaccompanied migrant children and find their future. The Kiwanis’ intent is to reduce the number of unaccompanied minors alone, without families and/or guardians. The Kiwanis intend to work to select and educate volunteer guardians who can help and support unaccompanied migrant children to grow up and become citizens not only in Italy but also in other countries.

  • In response to the disappearance of children, including migrant children who fail to seek asylum and children who are victims of trafficking thus becoming untraceable, Kiwanis International District Italy – San Marino commits to combat this issue through advocacy events and empowering families and schools with information on how to prevent and address child trafficking. Kiwanis International District Italy – Sand Marino also intends to establish solid cooperation with other groups, authorities, school representatives and families.
