The Oak Foundation commits to investing directly in women's peace building organisations and in organisations that advocate for the meaningful inclusion of women in all peace negotiations, mediations and the implementation and monitoring of peace agreements. Oak will also advocate with other donors to demand that women play an active role in all peace building activities.

The Oak Foundation commits to invest at least 10% of its annual budget directly in local and national women's organisations that promote the rights of women and girls and empower them to reach their full potential as well as local women's groups that provide front-line services to victims of violence in crises, particularly sexual violence, and that provide advocacy that responds to the specific needs of local women and girls. Oak will advocate with other donors to invest directly in national women's organisations.

The Oak Foundation commits to support and fund organisations that provide or advocate for the right to comprehensive sexual and reproductive rights for all women and girls in crisis situations. Specifically, this includes the right to contraception as part of the basic assistance package and the right to abortion as part of non-discriminatory medical care under international humanitarian law for women and girls in conflict. Oak will advocate with other donors to support the right to contraception and abortion in crises situations.

The Oak Foundation commits to ensuring that 75% of its investments will be multi-year grants and it commits to providing un-earmarked funding to enable local organisations to become viable, long term partners. Moreover by providing long term investment in the organisation's infrastructure Oak supports strong, vibrant, inclusive and independent civil society that promotes democracy and justice. Oak will advocate with other donors to increase their grant making for unearmarked support.
