Participants were invited to make individual or joint commitments to help achieve the Agenda for Humanity. In addition, they were invited to align themselves to 32 core commitments developed for the 7 High-level Leaders’ Roundtables of the World Humanitarian Summit. - The Pacific Small Island Developing States (PSIDS) hereby make the political commitment to work with other Member States of the United Nations to agree to institutional arrangements for a Special Representative on Climate and Security.The PSIDS will actively engage with other Member States in the lead up to the WHS in Istanbul so that the appointment of a Special Representative on Climate and Security can be one of its lasting legacies- an institutional innovation that makes the United Nations more responsive to the humanitarian challenges of today and tomorrow.
