What led your organization to make the commitment?
All of the available data shows that disability prevalence increases in older age. HelpAge International believes that we need to recognise the intersection between ageing and disability in our policies and programmes. For this reason, we have endorsed the Charter on Inclusion of Persons with Disabilities in Humanitarian Action.

What led your organization to make the commitment?
HelpAge International is committed to the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development and to the pledge to leave no one behind. If we are to achieve the goal of counting and including everyone, and particularly over-looked groups including older people, action on collecting, analysing, reporting and using disaggregated data is essential. For these reasons, we have committed to establishing a common approach to providing information to affected people and collecting, aggregating and analysing feedback from communities to influence decision-making processes at strategic and operational levels.
HelpAge International has adopted the Core Humanitarian Standards (CHS) and the International Aid Transparency Initiative Standard. -
Challenges faced in implementation
HelpAge International restates our commitment to make sustained funding conditional on the systematic collection of feedback from affected people on the quality and utility of humanitarian programmes. We will work to realise this commitment in the coming year.
