This led to organization of multi-stakeholder event on Tsunami Awareness Day, which included both the infrastructure engineering community and NGO community, along with government representatives.

                        What led your organization to make the commitment?Youth is not well represented in DRR policy dialogue in Japan.

                        Achievements at a glanceJCC-DRR formed the Youth Empowerment sub-committee, and the group is working proactively to represent JCC-DRR in events such as Sendai DRR Futures Forum. The group is planned and implemented by youth, and JCC-DRR is providing organizational and financial back-up to the group.

                        How is your organization assessing progressProgress is definitely being made, but again, the journey is still ongoing.

                        Challenges faced in implementationAttracting donors/investors for such long-term nurturing of leadership is quite a challenge.
