Adherence to quality and accountability standards (e.g. CHS, SPHERE)
Somali Rehabilitation and Development Association (SORADA) have applied the principles of of Humanity and no-harm principles which contributed to the lifesaving humanitarian intervention which SORADA implemented in Somalia because it responded with appropriate time and relevant needs of the affected population. SORADA have also involved the target beneficiaries and stakeholders to take part in the project planning and implementation. SORADA saved many 810 persons from dying of hunger in 2018 in Afgoi of flood affected population. B. How are these challenges impacting achievement of this transformation?
These challenges can have negative impact on the achievement of transformation. For instance, lack of scarcity of funding is the major challenge that hinders achievement of transformation. The other challenge is lack of stabilization intervention after emergency lifesaving interventions.
3. What steps or actions are needed to make collective progress to achieve this transformation?
To achieve the planned objectives or transformation, there are some collective actions to be taken. Among them are: allocation of enough funding for the interventions and stabilization intervention after emergency lifesaving interventions. The last one is the intervention should be implemented with the right partners who have good knowledge and have legitimacy among the communities who are in need of assistance in appropriate needs and time.
