Gender-based violence prevention and response
The Anglican Inter Faith Network of the Anglican Communion remains small, but is fully committed to safeguarding of the vulnerability, of ensuring gender balance at all levels of its work, and in ending gender-based violence. This is particularly evident in the advocacy for including threat of gender violence as a mitigating circumstance for granting asylum in international law. As the work seeks to prevent incitement to atrocities, working with women at all levels of negotiation and delivery is among the essential elements in building strong communities, in preventing conflict and in any reconciliation efforts. Women are generally responsible for procuring and preparing food, and yet are most at risk in conflict. When they are at threat, so is the family. The network fully supports gender equality and responding strongly to threat of violence.

Building community resilience
The greater part of the work of the the Anglican Inter Faith Network of the Anglican Communion in this area has been in building resilience within communities in prevention of hate crime and atrocities. This entails collaborative efforts in working for the common good - working alongside for a better community promotes greater understanding and breaks down stereotypes. The Anglican Inter Faith Network of the Anglican Communion works in partnership through coalitions of faith-based community organizations focusing on de-radicalization, vulnerable youth, displaced persons, security organizations, local government and NGOs. Arts and sports-based programs, food banks, refugee support, and media engagement, have provided platforms for greater expression as well as working to help others in need. Key to surviving threats or crises, is that that people know they will be supported when they need help, that they can count on their neighbors, and that their needs and views are heard and taken into account by others.

The Anglican Inter Faith Network of the Anglican Communion focus' on local organizations working at grassroots level, whether within the UK, Europe, or other parts of the world - and making a difference one individual, one community at a time. The greater part of the Anglican Inter Faith Network of the Anglican Communion live and work in the UK, in a context, post-Brexit, that is gradually closing down, with institutions working in separate silos. This includes its own institutions within the church, bowing to cultural pressure - as would be natural. It is a challenge for those working in this area to not only convince their own institutions, but also others, of the efficacy of this work in building a better world, nation, and church.
